Event Production Built On Experience, Communication, and Follow-Through.
Wiecks Media is run by Joe Wiecks, a Sonoma County native with a background in live events, livestream production, media, design, marketing, and community-focused event support.
I started Wiecks Media in 2020 when in-person events disappeared and organizations needed a way to bring people together online. What began as livestream production quickly became a way to help nonprofits, community groups, public figures, and individuals recreate meaningful event experiences in a virtual space.
Today, Wiecks Media supports live, hybrid, and media-driven events with the same goal: helping people bring an idea to life with clarity, creativity, and reliable execution.
Where it
Started
My production background started early. In junior high, I worked behind the scenes on my school’s morning news broadcast, rotating through every role in the production room to help produce the daily newscast.
In high school and junior college, I built a foundation in graphic design, Adobe creative tools, 3D modeling, animation, and visual communication. That creative background continued into my professional work, including 15 years at Oliver’s Market, much of that time in graphics and marketing at the corporate level.
Live Event
Experience
My event career started in 2012 as a volunteer with Rivertown Revival. Over time, I worked my way onto the core production and planning team, helping manage different parts of the event and contributing to an experience that has become a major passion project for me.
Since then, I’ve supported events including Rivertown Revival, Levi’s GranFondo, Taste of Sonoma, Railroad Square Music Festival, and more. I’ve also worked with clients and organizations including Friends of the Petaluma River, LandPaths, The Lost Church, Jared Huffman, and other nonprofit and community-focused groups throughout the region.
How I Approach
The Work
I’m calm, practical, and deeply invested in the details. Clients often come to me with a challenge, an idea, or a technical problem, and I take pride in finding a way to solve it.
My strengths are communication, troubleshooting, livestreaming, show flow planning, and creative problem solving. I care about understanding the vision, planning the moving parts, and helping the final event feel smooth, polished, and true to what the client imagined.
Founder-Led
By Design
Wiecks Media is not a big agency, and I don’t want it to pretend to be one. It’s me: a person who loves making things happen, solving problems, and creating experiences people remember.
When a project calls for extra hands, I bring in trusted collaborators, crew, or contractors from a strong local network. But the core of the work stays personal, hands-on, and accountable.
Rooted in
Sonoma County
I’m proud to be from Sonoma County, and much of my work has been shaped by the people, nonprofits, festivals, and community events here. I especially love creating experiences that bring people together, support good causes, and give something meaningful back to the community.
At the end of the day, I love seeing people enjoy something I helped create. That moment when the room is working, the audience is engaged, and people are smiling for real, that’s why I do this.
